Joe CampolietaArtistic Director/Music Director - 8th YearA Crane School of Music graduate, "Mr. Campo" was a member of the Syracuse and North Shore Symphonies, where he was principal trombone. He currently teaches instrumental music privately and in the Torrington school system; previously he was the SHS jazz band director and music director for 3 SHS musicals. He has directed youth and adult choirs at First Church in Simsbury, sung with the First Church choir, and played in the pit orchestra for Theater Guild and a number of other community theater groups. He also performs locally with a variety of groups, including Bristol Reunion Big Band, Bristol Performing Arts, Seventh Avenue, and The Dozing Dogs. |
Lesley LambertAssociate Director/Choreographer - 8th YearA dance instructor and assistant director at the New England Dance Centers for the past 22 years, Lesley Lambert does choreography for nationally-recognized competitive level soloists and teams. She has taught dancers who have appeared on Broadway, television and in music videos. The recipient of several choreography awards, she founded the NEDC Musical Theater Department. She also writes, directs and choreographs the department's annual show. |
Jeff SchlichterSet Designer, Lighting/Sound Director - 5th YearA founding member of SSTFY, Jeff Schlichter starred in its first production as Li'l Abner in 1966. After college he performed in LA for 18 years before returning to Simsbury. He directed two SSTFY shows and one at SHS before moving to backstage to be the "sound and set design guy" and the group's photographer and videographer. He performs, directs and teaches at the Warner Theater and Thomaston Opera House, where he recently delighted audiences with his fantastic portrayal of Fagin in "Oliver!" |
Scott SampietroCo-Technical Director/Master Carpenter - 1st YearScott Sampietro has a CCSU degree in Technology Education and teaches Production Technology, Graphic Communication and Stage/Technical Theater at Hall High School. He also works part time at the Hartford Stage Company as part of its crew. In addition, he is the tech director for the Summer Arts Festival in West Hartford. |
John HolderCo-Technical Director/Master Carpenter - 3rd YearKnown as the "man who can build anything," John Holder is the "Black Box" technical director at the Hartt School of Drama at the University of Hartford. He also works regularly as a member of the technical and construction crews at Hartford Stage, Yale Drama School, American Repertory Theatre, and the Long Wharf Theatre. He holds a degree in Aircraft Design. |
Dan CampolietaAssociate Music Director - 2nd YearDuring his seven years as a SSTFY member, Dan Campolieta played the male lead in 5 shows, his last as the Prince in Cinderella. He was also SSTFY president for 2 years. While at SHS, he won numerous jazz and classical keyboard awards and was the 2003 vocal winner of Symphony in Simsbury. He is currently completing a dual major in music education and organ performance in the honors program at UCONN; he is also a New England Scholar and Presidential Scholar. Dan teaches piano privately, is in several jazz bands at UCONN, sings professionally with Voce, and performs jazz and classical music locally. He is the new organist and youth music director at the Asylum Hill Congregational Church. |
